St Kilda

St Kilda is an archipelago off the North West coast of Scotland, and is a Dual World Heritage Site for its natural and cultural significance. The islands were inhabited from the Iron Age until 1930, when the last inhabitants were evacuated. RSGS holds a number of slides of St Kilda, some of which are presented here. Further information on St Kilda can be found on our St Kilda factsheet by Dr Jeffrey Stone.
