Images for All is a project of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society that has documented and undertaken essential conservation work on our unique collections, between September 2005 and August 2007, and was sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project continues through this web site.

During the project tens of thousands of individual items were listed, including slides and photographic images, maps, atlases, and papers from the Society's archive. Several hundred items were professionally conserved, preserving them for future generations. These listings and thousands of scanned images are now accessible here.

The project received significant press attention and this, together with several articles and talks given to diverse audiences around the country, has generated much interest in the Society's collections amongst the general public, historians, the heritage and museum communities, academic geographers and other specialists, as well as the Society's own membership.

Anna Hanlon Collection

Digital images of slides (just over 21,000) from the Anna Hanlon collection are now available and searchable within our online database. Click here to view or type "Anna Hanlon" in to the title box on the search page. All Anna Hanlon slides were scanned by SLX Consulting Ltd.
