| History/Scope | This series includes copies of the final recording of the lecture in which Norah Dingwall describes a three month holiday taken with her husband spent travelling by car across Europe to the Middle East in the 1970s. The lecture comprises narrative by Norah Dingwall interspersed with musical tracks to capture the atmosphere of each country they visit along the way. The route takes them through: Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Corfu, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria, France and finishes back in Edinburgh. The series also includes working tapes and some notes used in the production of the final version. Final versions of the recording are on CD and audio tape. The recording lasts approximately 80 minutes and finishes with the tribute to her late husband: "loving you always, forgetting you never". |
