ABOUT THE 2004 AGI SOURCEBOOK

This 12th edition of the AGI Sourcebook sees changes in both the format and content to maintain its’ status as the premier source of information about the Geographic Information (GI) industry in the UK in the 21st Century for GI professionals. It is fully digital and is in the form of a series of fully cross-referenced Mindmanager mindmaps, for which you will need the free MindManager 2002 Viewer software available on this CD. It is divided into 3 main sections :-

AGI Section – Information about the UK Association for Geograpic Information and document archive

Trade Directory – Directories of suppliers of GI products, services and applications in the UK 

Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Directory – Directories of SDI initiatives and their stakeholders around the world at National, Continental and Global levels, with particular emphasis on the UK.

LOADING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Load the Sourcebook into the CD drive of your PC, it should startup automatically displaying the Welcome Screen (if it doesn’t, you need to manually double click on the ‘Sourcebook.exe’ file in File Explorer).

2. The first time you use the CD on your PC you will have to load the free MindManager Viewer software provided. Follow the instructions given on the Welcome Screen and Installation Wizard. On subsequent occasions you can proceed straight to opening the Home Page map from the Welcome Screen without installing the viewer.

3. When you select Open from the Welcome Screen, MindManager Viewer should start up displaying the Sourcebook Home Page mindmap. Alternatively you can double click on ‘Home.mmp’ in File Explorer to open up the Sourcebook.

4. Once at the Home page, please read the ‘How to’ notes on using MindManager to get the most from the Sourcebook.

5. You will also require the free Adobe Acrobat reader to view documents in the Sourcebook (free download from www.adobe.com).

Minimum System Requirements to run MindManager are : Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0 SP6/2000/XP; Pentium 133 or higher; 48 MB RAM or greater; 2.5 MB free disk space.
