Main Lecture Theatre 201, Grant Institute

Monday, January 22, 2018 - 13:00 to 14:00

Dr Ronnie Parr, Senior Geophysicist - Exploration, BP- Aberdeen

Roving around the North Sea for 27 years, I have picked up a few geophysical techniques and insights into the geology of the basin. This is very focused on the continuing challenge for exploring for oil and gas in a mature basin. I want to share some of these insights with you.   I will conclude with giving you the chance to spot the giant Schiehallion field. If you have been listening- you will find the record is less than 10 seconds!
