Locality 8: The steeply dipping rocks in this bay are a cyclic sequence of dark carbonaceous clays, sometimes pure coal, and pale coloured clays or sandstones. The latter often contain rootlets. They are the Seat Earths on which the plants that were coalified were growing. [Zoom in]
