Sediment rafts in the Salisbury Crags sill
Locality 3: In the Salisbury Crags sill at Hutton's locality there are a number of slabs of sedimentary rock that are detached from the adjacent sedimentary rocks. Look at the upper part of the sill. It seems that the slabs may have floated upwards in the basaltic magma.
