Global Change Symposium

Human impacts on our planet are changing the atmosphere, climate, ice cover, global biogeochemistry, biodiversity, soils, and even ocean circulation, and have put Global Change at the centre of the international scientific agenda.

The Global Change Symposium is an annual event designed to

  1. Introduce our first year PhD students and their area of research;
  2. Discuss the challenges we face in Global Change and develop a vision for future research;
  3. Launch the Global Change Research Highlights Report;
  4. Build links among the diverse components of our research group.

The James Croll Prize is also awarded for outstanding contribution to the Symposium.
