Carbon management is at the heart of tackling climate change. From carbon audits and footprints to carbon trading and offsets, carbon management has become a central part of the global business environment. The interdisciplinary nature of the course - giving students a detailed understanding of climate science and economics - provides a broad and integrated understanding of carbon management. Students are able to devise study programmes suited to their personal interests and career goals through their choice of optional courses and individual research projects.

The MSc programme draws on a world-class lecturing team, including lead IPPC authors, government advisors and industry specialists. Our collaboration with the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture, and several leading carbon management companies and projects, including the Carbon Benchmarking Project, CarbonPlanet.com and the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management (ECCM), allows students to undertake a wide range of applied research projects, with excellent employment prospects post graduation.

"In order to satisfy our growing customer base we require the services of skilled carbon auditors, brokers and originators.
