Predoctoral European Masters Formation on Interactions between Climate, Environment and Society

The Masters degree program PERICLES provides appropriate training for future experts in climate change by bridging the disciplinary gap without loss in the quality of fundamental knowledge, and by introducing links to economic and social sciences.

PERICLES is a 2-year European Master degree integrated program (4 semesters) jointly taught in English under the co-direction of three main University Centres (University Versailles St-Quentin, France; University of Bergen, Norway; University of Edinburgh) with each centre respectively in charge of one semester of teaching.

This arrangement provides a diversity of experience, quality of support, and excellence of education and training to attract the best students and scholars, thus creating networks of excellence at European level through common experience and direct contacts.
