Masters in Ecological Economics

The science and management of sustainability - linking environmental, social and economic systems.

The focus of this MSc is on how to make sustainability and environmental management work in practice through the application of economic principles. Economic principles are applied in virtually all decisions concerning conservation and environmental management.

Such principles are applied in the Stern Review of Climate Change, the Millenium Ecosystem Assessment and the Review of the Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity. Students will be taught by research staff who have contributed to these highly influential reviews. The MSc provides critical training for anyone seeking employment in this field.
