I love travelling in wild places and I have played a key role in organising climbing, skiing and canoeing expeditions to Alaska, Greenland, the Yukon Territories, New Zealand and the Alps.

I am a keen downhill and cross-country skier and I am a qualified ski instructor.

I am an enthusiastic climber, mountaineer and runner, I have completed Mountain Leader Training and I have run several mountain marathons.

I have completed the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.

I enjoy playing the guitar and song-writing.

I am also a keen writer and have had articles published in a national magazine, a book and in journals.
