Hello and welcome to the home page of Kerry-Anne Mairs. Please follow the links on the left to find out more about my research and about me.

In 2007 I finished my PhD in the School of Geosciences at the University of Edinburgh, which explored landscape degradation and historic human impact in the North Atlantic islands.

On finishing my PhD I chose to spend 2 years studying and working at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, the Gaelic College on the Isle of Skye, in order to learn Gaelic. I am now back in Edinburgh writing up research and pursuing an interest in youth work and education.
