Antony Phin MSci MSc
Welcome to my homepage. I am a PhD student in the centre for environmental change and sustainability, investigating impacts on peatlands from wind farm development. I have streamwater chemistry data for carbon and nutrient fluxes, before, during and after development and have used this to build up a time series of carbon and phosphorus fluxes. My research has also targeted specific wind farm development activities, namely turbine bases, tracks, forest felling and borrow pits (small quarries) to quantify the contribution of each to changes in the streamwater chemistry as a result of disturbing the peat or from leftover forest felling debris. The time scales of recovery and the degree to which carbon and phosphorus loading in streams is mitigated by in-stream processes at the site was also assessed.
Please follow the links on the left for more information on my current research and interests.
