Geo-Scientific and Industry Experience


A key aspect of my geophysical education to date has been a series of energy industry related internships, field-trips and contractor work. A summary of my experience to date is presented below:



30/06/10 - 28/07/10: Schlumberger Cambridge Research – Research Associate. Cambridge, UK
Acquisition of new bespoke active and passive seismic data sets



22/07/09 - 04/09/09: Schlumberger Cambridge Research – Student Intern. Cambridge, UK
Application of specific algorithms for seismic interferometry to passive seismic data set; acquisition of new active and passive seismic data set

12/07/09 - 20/07/09: PESGB Field Trip. Svalbard, Norway
Week long industry oriented sedimentology / structural geology field trip, attending as a PESGB sponsored student.

20/05/09 - 10/07/09: Tullow Oil Plc. – Contractor, Geology and Geophysics. Chiswick, London, UK
Conducted a review of the Geology and Geophysics of the Zechstein Carbonate ‘Wissey’ gas field in the Southern North Sea - following submission of dissertation thesis to Exploration manager

Broad range introduction to Petroleum Geophysics and the oil industry in general
