Adam Wilson: My project and I

Me in the Alps

I'm nearing the end of of my doctorate working with the Edinburgh Anisotropy Project at the British Geological Society. I'm registered at the University of Edinburgh and it's from here that I will obtain my degree.

I'm studying Frequency Dependent Anisotropy; Theory and Applications with interests in spectral anomalies related to fluid saturation on seismic data. Strong attenuation shifts velocity dispersion into the seismic frequency band and I've developed an inversion to quantify the effect.

I spend most of my time within the British Geological Survey despite being a University of Edinburgh student since I am part of the Edinburgh Anisotropy Project (EAP).
