Employment History
(2004 – Present) Demonstrator School of Geosciences, The University of Edinburgh My responsibilities include; teaching concepts and analytical techniques to second and third year undergraduates in the School of Geosciences and marking lab reports.
(2001 - 2004) Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist Charles River Laboratories (formerly Inveresk Research) Department of Environmental Chemistry My duties included; Assisting Study Directors in all aspects of ecotoxicology and environmental fate contract research. Preparation of protocols and contracts for clients, carrying out live phase experimental work, writing of scientific reports, project management during all phases of studies. All work was carried out in compliance with regulatory guidelines and GLP.
(1998 - 2001) Research Assistant / Senior Research Assistant Charles River Laboratories (formerly Inveresk Research) Department of Environmental Chemistry My duties included; Assisting Study Directors in live phase experimental procedures for contract research studies in ecotoxicology, this also included routine laboratory maintenance, animal husbandry of aquatic species of fish and invertebrates as well as insects.

Home Office Personal Licence - I am qualified to hold a home office personal licence for testing on marine and freshwater species of fish. Awarded in 2001 after completing The Institute of Biology modules 1 and 2 for working with marine and freshwater speices and passing Home Office examination. I last held a personal licence in 2004 while employed by Charles River Laboratories
