Field Work

I spent two summer field seasons in Antarctica at Rothera Research Station, on the Western Antarctic Peninsula. My field work involved collecting time series water samples from sea ice and surface waters and measuring them for a wide variety of biological and geochemical parameters. We also conducted a research cruise aboard the RRS James Clark Ross to deploy and turnover time series sediment traps that collected material in concert with the sea ice and water sampling. We also took sediment cores at the trap sites.
