I am a 2nd year PhD student in the Institute of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences, supervised by Professor John Grace and Dr Mathew Williams.

My project is focusing on estimation of land-atmosphere carbon exchange, combining remote sensing, modelling and CO2 flux data. It involves using GIS and ENVI packages to identify the location and area of land use(especially forests)and work out net ecosystem exchange, running Soil-Plant-Vegetation model(SPA)at site scale and thereafter constructing a forest carbon sink map for the whole Europe.

please refer to my first year report.
