2002- present The University of Edinburgh
PhD research – The tectonic and sedimentary evolution of a Neogene Transtensional graben in Southern Turkey.

  • 15 weeks fieldwork in southern Turkey
  • Analytical skills include use of the SEM, XRD techniques and strontium isotope chemistry.

Major Projects

  • 4th year independent research project
  • Palaeocurrent directions in the Ainsa turbidite system, Pyrenees.
  • 2 weeks independent fieldwork in Spain

  • On Graduation I was included on the Dean’s list for academic excellence.
  • In the 3rd year I was awarded a session prize for work of good honours standard.
  • In the 2nd year I was awarded the Chubb prize for work of good honours standard by a first or second year student.
