By AIR
Arrive at Edinburgh (Turnhouse airport), Airline carriers include British Airways, British Midland BMI, Easy Jet, Fly Be, Air France, KLM.
If time is short - GET A TAXI direct to the University Kings Buildings 15- 30 min (£20).
if you have an hour or more, then first take a Fly bus (20 minute frequency, 30 min journey) to the city centre (£3 single)

You can also arrive at Glasgow airport in the west of Scotland (30 min bus then one hour rail to Edinburgh centre), or low-price Prestwick airport (Ryanair) (40km south-west of Glasgow), Aberdeen (3 hours rail to the north) or Newcastle )Easy Jet), 3 hours rail to the south.

By RAIL
Arrive at Waverly Street station (not Haymarket)

BUS OR TAXI FROM CITY CENTRE

If this is your first time in Edinburgh, or if time is short - GET A TAXI (£6, 10 minutes) to Kings Buildings, West Mains Road, Gate 2

if you want to travel by the cheapest method (30 -60 min): Walk up hill south to Mound, and take a 42 (£1) (at 20 minute frequency) to West Mains Road (Kings Buildings).
OR
Walk west along Princes Street 200 metres, and take a 24 (£1) (at 20 minute frequency) to West Mains Road (Kings Buildings).

OR, you can walk, which is about 60 min


By car
Map attached, From West, travel along M8
Take ring road to south of Edinburgh
Turn off at "Straiton / Penicuik / Peebles" junction A 701
Follow A 701 north until it goes downhill and becomes Liberton Brae
Traffic lights at base of hill, turn left onto Mayfield Road
Turn left at lights onto West Mains Road,
Left into Gate 2

Park outside the Grant Institute, enter by large double oak doors, up stairway. Turn right (east) at top of stairs
Keep going through fire doors, around one right angle right, and my office 321 is on your left.
