AU-NEPAD S&T Consolidated Plan of Action

Africa’s Science and Technology, Consolidated Plan of Action (CPA) produced by the African Union (AU) and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development proposes a regional process promoting the role of science and technology to support social and economic development in Africa.

The University of Edinburgh worked with NEPAD’s Office of Science and Technology from June 2005 through to February 2007 on a joint project designed to promote implementation of Africa’s strategic plan for science and technology.

This process produced three in-depth briefing documents for the AU and NEPAD along with managing a consultative process to inform the design of the proposed African Science and Innovation Facility (ASIF, subsequently proposed as the African Science and Innovation FUND).
