	2011-2016 Scotland's Centre of Expertise on Climate Change.	PI, focusing on human socio-economic dimensions in the uncertainty analyses.
	2010-2015 EU-FP7 research project Visions on European Land Use Transitions in Europe.	Co-I, Coordinating our team's 962 kEuro contribution, leading the Visions module and the work package on the development and implementation of a scenario framework that links stakeholders' visions to numerical models.
	2009-2013 EU-FP7 research project Climate change integrated assessment methodology for cross-sectoral adaptation and vulnerability in Europe.	Co-I, Coordination the Scottish case-study workshops; vulnerability and adaptation assessment.
	2008-2012 EU-FP7 research project European Biodiversity Observation Network: Design of a plan for an integrated observing system project in space and time.	PI, leading the Stratification and statistical analysis work package.

	2006 EU-FP6 integrated project System for Environmental and Agricultural Modelling Linking European Science and Society.	Contributed to the European agro-ecological typology.
	2006-2009 EU-FP6 Network of Excellence A Long-Term Biodiversity, Ecosystem and Awareness Research Network.	Constructing a socio-ecological stratification to test representativeness of the LTER facilities in Europe.
	2003-2004 EU-FP5 Concerted Action A framework for the coordination of biodiversity and habitats.	Constructed stratification of the European Environment that can be used as a sampling framework for monitoring habitats and biodiversity.
	2003-2005 EU-FP5 Concerted Action Integrated Assessment of Vulnerable Ecosystems under Global Change.	Lectured and tutored at two summer schools and wrote a commissioned paper about vulnerability assessment.
	2001-2004 EU-FP5 research project Advanced Terrestrial Ecosystem Assessment and Modelling.	Led the vulnerability assessment synthesizing the project results.
