Liz Bondi is Professor of Social Geography at the University of Edinburgh. She is also a counsellor accredited by COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland).
Since August 2004, Liz has divided her time between
Geography (School of GeoSciences), and
Counselling Studies (School of Health in Social Science), where she is co-Director
Liz Bondi's research interests span feminist geography, social geography, geographies of health, and counselling studies. Current research focuses on psychotherapies as socio-spatial practices, emotional and psychoanalytic geographies, emotions and qualitative research methods, voluntarism in mental health care, and geographies of subjectivity. Previous research has addressed gender identities and urban change, and geographies of education.
