Geographies of Relations and Identities
Research within this theme is concerned with the role of space, place and environment in the constitution, experience and governance of social relations and identities. Our research addresses the categories through which social identities are defined, illuminating the situated processes that make and remake such categories, and highlighting their contested nature. Interests focus on attributes by which difference is marked and expressed, including ethnicity, national identity, indigeneity, caste, gender, sexuality, ability and life course.
