Context and Composition: how does where we live determine our health behaviours?

In this project you will explore the issues of deprivation at various scales. Most especially you will consider the issue of context and whether or not we should look at neighbourhoods in relation to other neighbourhoods around them.  Do our surrounding neighbourhoods have an influence on our health and are we more likely to be healthy if we live in a deprived neighbourhood surrounded by affluent neighbourhoods than if we live in a deprived neighbourhood surrounded by deprived neighbourhoods?  This project will use GIS and explore multiple datasets available at the local area level.
