What is the Hutton Club?

The Hutton Club is run by postgraduate students on behalf of the Global Change Research Group within the School of GeoSciences at The University of Edinburgh.

The Hutton Club is open to anyone with an interest in earth surface processes and physical geography. As would be expected this mixture creates a lively and diverse platform for friendly discussion on physical geography research and related issues.

Speakers are also varied, ranging from MSc students, through PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, lecturers and guest speakers. There will also be an opportunity for undergraduate students to present work on their final year dissertations, thus enabling constructive feedback from postgraduate students.

So...whatever stage you are at in your university career, you are more than welcome to attend, in fact you are encouraged, as you never know what you might learn, or who you will meet!!

We are always looking for speakers, so if you want to present some of your work, or would like some further information about the Hutton Club, please contact us.
