Geography Centenary Photography CompetitionIn 2008/09 we will celebrate 100 years of Geography at the University of Edinburgh. To mark the occasion we are holding two photography competitions and an exhibition. The deadline for both competitions is Wednesday 14 January 2009. Send your files to geogcentenary@geos.ed.ac.ukFor files up to 8Mb send as an email attachment For files bigger than 8Mb use www.yousendit.com (or a similar service) Student photography competitionThis competition is open to undergraduate students registered on any of the single or joint Honours Geography degree programmes. There will be a prize for the two best entries in each category and the top twenty images will be exhibited in Drummond Street during February-July 2009. The competition entries will be judged by the Centenary Committee. The themes are:
For each photograph submitted please:
Entries must be in digital format with a resolution of at least 2 mega pixels for digital cameras and 300 dpi for scanned pictures. Staff and Postgrad photography competitionThis competition is open to staff involved in the Geography undergraduate and postgraduate degree programme(s) and postgraduate students within Geography. There will be a prize for the two best entries in each category and the top twenty images will be exhibited in Drummond Street during February-July 2009. The competition entries will be judged by the Centenary Committee. The themes are:
