Edinburgh Geographers Past and PresentAs part of our Centenary programme, we invite former students and staff to send us pictures - and written remembrances - from their days doing Geography at Edinburgh. We can't promise to show them all - and there may be some, of course, that you wouldn't want to be seen or which wouldn't merit being shown! Yet pictures - of fieldwork, dissertation projects, of groups of friends, of social events, even of the buildings - help provide an important record of geographers' activities quite apart from providing an important trigger to individual and collective memories. These images were sent by Mr W. Keddie Law and relate to the activities of the class of 1968
Here, Elspeth Insch has forwarded a number of pictures of Edinburgh geographers - staff, postgraduates and undergraduates - taking part in geomorphological fieldwork in Norway and in the Cairngorms. These images were sent by Mr John Barclay and relate to activities on 1947 to 1949 (or 1950).
