Types of Sections Produced
Ordinary (transmitted light) sections.
Sizes 26x76mm, 51x76mmPolished Sections.
Sizes 25x48mm, 1" dia. round.Polished blocks. Hot or cold cast, 1" dia. round.
Demountable polished sections for TEM.
Fluid inclusion wafers.
Sample impregnation, cutting, grinding, and polishing equipment (diamond and aluminium oxide) is available for making all types of thin sections and polished sections, epoxy resin (clear or coloured) and hot compression mounts (various types), Syton (colloidal Silica) polishing of samples etc.
The charges for the above services depend on the type of sample and the preparation required.
